«Dear Kuki-Pan: I have kidnapped your birthday present. If you want to recover it you must follow my instructions. Captain Hook«. With this letter she started a gymkhana for two weeks in which our friend Azuki successfully faced all the tests imposed by Captain Hook. After being successful in all the challenges, his gift was "released" on Saturday at 7.30 in the morning at Barcelona airport: a weekend at Disneyland Paris. We were flying to Neverland.
The key to organizing that weekend was to make it as economical as possible, but it was not an easy task, considering that everything around Disneyland is expensive. Only the two day ticket for both parks It cost € 113 (this year they are worth € 140). Tickets are almost the most expensive of the trip. To give you an idea, the tickets cost us the same as the flights, the hotel and the rental car together.
Attention: There is currently an offer of a ticket for 1 day / 2 parks from € 47 according to calendar (€ 40 children). You can buy tickets and see more offers in this link.
If you plan to spend more than four days in the park it will be cheaper to buy the annual pass. The annual pass without dates limitation costs € 223 and the entrance of 4 days / 2 parks without dates limitation costs € 212. For one more euro you can escape to Disneyland Paris more than once in a year. 🙂
We buy the flights with Ryanair, which just then had them on offer for the dates of our trip. Ryanair offer rates work with a pyramid system (On the cusp there are few cheap flights and at the base the flights are more expensive). For example, for the cheapest fares there may be only 2 or 4 tickets and, once they are sold, the rate goes up. Therefore, if you have to buy 6 tickets (as in our case), it is best to look at the prices two by two. The first two tickets cost us € 115, the next two € 133 and the last two € 168. If we bought the six tickets together, it gave us the price of € 168. We add them and divide them and it came out at € 70 per person with all taxes and extras included. The flight left Prat Airport in Barcelona at 8.35 am and arrived at Paris Beauvais airport at 10.35 a.m. The return was Sunday at 7:55 p.m.
To go from Beauvais airport to Disneyland Paris There is a bus that leaves you in the park in two hours and a half (after stopping at Charles de Gaulle airport), for € 24 each way (the price this year remains), that is, nothing less than € 288 for 6 people , and also meant a great waste of time. So, we decided to rent a car at the airport. Being a seven-seater car, it cost us a little more expensive than one of five, but it still came out much more profitable than the bus: € 171 for two-day rental. We spent € 30 of gas on gasoline and the park car park cost us € 18 each day.
